Description: Inspired by a story in the Ottoman book The Forty Questions by Mawlana Firaqi . The painting is a unique piece of artwork based on one of the stories about the Divine Throne. The throne verse (Aytul Kursi) is swirling in an infinite sea which takes the observer into the depths of contemplation.

The story: The book Forty Questions mentions a story about a fish called Lutia and the Divine Throne. The stories in the book are based on stories from an old Ottoman source, very likely Kitab-i hikayat i qirqsu’al, a book well-known for centuries which still enjoys great popularity in Turkish speaking lands. The fish depicted in the painting is one of the 70,000 huge fish which is the daily of sustenance of the great fish Lutia! “The mighty sound that came from the fish was one of weeping and devout contrition, the fish was praying and reciting praises of the Lord”

The Product: All our prints are fantastically accurate and consistent reproductions using giclée printing techniques. Fine art print (200gsm) A museum-quality fine art print paper with a textured, matt finish.
